<div id="mw-content-text" class="mw-body-content mw-content-ltr" lang="de" dir="ltr"><div class="mw-content-ltr mw-parser-output" lang="de" dir="ltr"><p>Im <a href="Teilgebiet_der_Mathematik" class="mw-redirect" title="Teilgebiet der Mathematik">mathematischen Teilgebiet</a> der <a href="Gruppentheorie" title="Gruppentheorie">Gruppentheorie</a> sind die <b>Orthogonalitätsrelationen</b> bestimmte Beziehungen zwischen <a href="Charakter_(Mathematik)" title="Charakter (Mathematik)">Charakteren von Darstellungen</a> einer Gruppe. Der Name rührt daher, dass man auf einem geeigneten <a href="Funktionenraum" title="Funktionenraum">Funktionenraum</a>, der die Charaktere enthält, ein <a href="Skalarprodukt" title="Skalarprodukt">inneres Produkt</a> definieren kann, bzgl. dessen verschiedene Charaktere tatsächlich orthogonal sind.
